Premium Enhancements

Benefits information is now provided at login, for the current user and for all publicly available benefits packages. This viewer bases all UI and other logic on these values, replacing an assortment of values previously received via other mechanisms or hardcoded into the viewer.

This viewer also has some UI improvements.

Maintenance: Yorsh

Yorsh (Also known as Mora Grogg) (Russian: Ёрш which means “Ruffe”) is a Russian mixed drink consisting of beer thoroughly mixed with an ample quantity of vodka. It is traditionally drunk in a social setting, typically with a toast followed by downing a full glass of it at one go.

Vodka is a neutral spirit which does not greatly alter the flavor of the beer, but does greatly increase its alcohol content.

Probably the first evidence of presence of such a mix in Russian drinking culture is the Tale of Woe and Misfortune, an anonymous 17th century-poem. The early version of yorsh described there included mead, however.

Maintenance: Xanté

Xanté (“Xanté Poire au Cognac”) is a pear liqueur based on cognac, produced by The Xanté Company. It has 38% ABV. Xanté is pronounced santé, just as if the x were an s, which is the French expression for “cheers!”.

Maintenance: Wassail This Viewer uses Viewer Manager 2.0.531000

Wassail is a beverage of hot mulled cider, drunk traditionally as an integral part of wassailing, a Medieval Christmastide English drinking ritual intended to ensure a good cider apple harvest the following year.

Ordered Shutdown This viewer has changes intended to make crashes on shutdown less likely. This should have no changes to existing features. For anyone interested in the code details: we use singleton classes extensively for “manager” classes that are only supposed to have one instance each. These are created during startup, with the order determined by when they are needed. Such classes now have the ability to keep track of their creation order and dependencies, so that the destruction process on shutdown can reverse this process systematically. So far only a subset of singleton classes have been modified to take advantage of ordered shutdowns, with more coming in future releases.
