fs_stand-stop-flying_button_missing - [Workarounds]

The Stand button and Stop Flying button can appear in two different places: on the Move Controls floater, or lower left above the Nearby Chat bar.

If you have the Move Controls floater open, and you are sitting/flying, the button will appear on that floater. If it isn't there, you are probably not sitting/flying. Make sure you are really sitting/flying; the button should appear.

If you do NOT have the Move Controls floater open, the button will normally appear lower left on your screen, above your Nearby Chat bar.

Stand button above Nearby Chat:

If you can see your Nearby Chat bar, and there is no button, then one of these is happening:

• You are not sitting/flying. Try sitting on something, or make sure you are flying.
• The Move Controls floater is open (see above). Find it on your screen and close it if you wish. If you can't find it, look in the Avatar menu. If there is a checkmark next to Move Controls, uncheck it, and then the button should appear lower left, above your Nearby Chat bar.

Stand button if you have Nearby Chat hidden:

If the button is not there, one of the following is happening:

• You are not sitting/flying. Try sitting on something, or make sure you are flying.
• The Move Controls floater is open (see above). Find it on your screen and close it if you wish. If you can't find it, look in the Avatar menu. If there is a checkmark next to Move Controls, uncheck it, and then the button should appear lower left.
• You have shrunk the Nearby Chat bar off screen to the left. If you do that, the button will also disappear off left. To check, click in-world anywhere on the screen but not in any windows. Then click Enter on your keyboard to activate the Nearby Chat bar. The Nearby Chat bar should appear lower left on your screen, and if you are sitting/flying, the button should be above it.
  • If the Nearby Chat bar does not appear, it is probably off left. To get it back, look in the lower left corner for a portion of it. Hover your mouse over it until you get a double-pointed arrow. Then grab and move it to the right.
  • If you can't see any part of the Nearby Chat bar, and hovering your mouse doesn't give you a double arrow, you may need to clear your settings and set them from scratch. See How to Clear Your FS Settings.

• Right click your name tag and choose Stand from the menu.
• Select Avatar menu → Movement → Stand Up [Alt-Shift-S / Option-Shift-S]
• If you have the Groundsit button on your toolbar, it will be highlighted. Click it to stand.

• Select Avatar menu → Movement → Stop flying.
• If you have the Fly button on your toolbar, it will be highlighted. Click it to stop flying.
• Press PageDown on your keyboard until you stop flying.
